The 2013 was excellent. So too this 2014. Casa Freschi is onto something with this Adelaide Hills chardonnay.

It gets the mix of flavour and style right. It has enough stone-fruity oomph and enough bacony oak, but it’s crisp and chalky too, with juicy green apples bubbling through the finish – along with oatmeal and general spice. Well honed.
